On Saturday, August 27, 2016, Moses Manson entered the UPWA ring one last time to formally announce his retirement from professional wrestling.
In July, after his team was defeated in War Games at UPWA Summer Showdown, Moses was forced into retirement. “The Tasmaster” Kevin Sullivan even took it upon himself to ensure this after the match, with the help of a wrench.
In this exclusive video, Moses addresses the fans, speaks on his UPWA and pro wrestling career, and even tries to make amends with his former friend, The Stro.
AYP Wrestling would like to wish Moses Manson the best of luck.
Mike talks about getting into the wrestling business, coming up in the New Jersey scene, playing college football at Kean University, what he carries in his golf bag, challenging Shaheem Ali for the UPWA Carolinas title at the UPWA 10th Anniversary on July 18 in Wilmington, NC, the awesomeness of working with The Angry Wrestling Vet’s The Sanctuary, the Mega Mos, his recent tour of Canada, working with Harry Smith and Sir Mo (Men On A Mision), the guys he’s learned the most from inside the ring, what the UPWA Carolinas title will mean to him if he defeats Shaheem Ali, possibly challenging Mason Ryan for the UPWA heavyweight title, Johnny Buff, Los Sucios, Nutrious X, and he even tells us his very own funny Crazy Ivan story! And wait ’til you hear what Andy proposes when Mike Orlando comes to ringside on July 18.
As Manson and his Manson Family team of Mikal Mosley and Steven Strick prepare to take on Stro and UPWA heavyweight champion Mason Ryan in Wilmington, NC on July 18, Moses lets us know of his intentions for the UPWA 10th anniversary show. We also discuss his career, his family (you won’t believe what this evil man shares about his mother), P-Funk, working with Dick Foley and Power Pro Wrestling, his friendship with Mark James of The Brutes, and more.
